Gang-Nail Trusses

Gang Nail Trusses is one of the largest truss manufacturing facilities in Saskatchewan. We are located in Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan just east of Regina. We have been building trust and engineering trusses since 1976.

Our team of specialized designers and engineers work together with our experienced team of sawyers and assmblers to provide the highest quality engineered wood products.

We work together with our customers consistently to ensure that every project goes together as smoothly as possible before, during, and after the supply of our products.

Gang-Nail History

1976

GANG-NAIL TRUSSES OPENS IN REGINA

Gang-Nail Trusses was started in 1976 by two brothers, Terry and Ron Bearss (Bearss Bros LTD).

1977

WASCANA WOOD COMPONENTS LTD

Wascana Wood Components LTD bought the. business on February 1. Terry and Gladys Bearss, along with Jim and Allen Holmes run the business.

1979

OPEN WEB TRUSSES & VERTICAL ALIGNMENT

Open web trusses came about while working with a local home builder to overcome the squeaky floor. Gang-Nail was one of the first to align the vertical webs in the floor trusses to allow room to run wiring and ducting.

MOVED TO 600 5th AVE, PILOT BUTTE

Gang-Nail Trusses employs over 25 office staff, including Professional Engineers, Design Technologists, Estimators and support staff.

The plant employs over 50 people during our busy season, including Sawyers, Assemblers, yard staff, forklift drivers and truck drivers.

Our employees are the backbone of our organization.

With many of our staff being part of the team for over 30 years, we are very much a family. It’s their commitment to our customers and our products that has made the company what it is today.

LeeAnn Novak
Owner/CEO/CFO
LeeAnn has been leading our company since July of 2023 and has worked alongside our previous CEO since she began in 2009.  LeeAnn is a professional accountant with involvement in all aspects of the business, except for design and engineering.  As a natural leader and entrepreneur, LeeAnn is quick to help out in any way that she can and focus her efforts wherever they are needed.  Since LeeAnn has taken over leadership, she has worked closely with our leadership team to find new and better ways of doing things.  As a result, we have seen innovation and growth, both internally and externally, from a united focus of improved customer service and employee satisfaction.
Dan Sveinbornson
Owner/Design Manager
Dan has a passion for the construction industry and has a wealth of knowledge in the truss industry, with a technical ability second to none. Dan has over 30 years experience in the truss industry and has passed on his knowledge to our current design/engineer team of about 15.  Dan works closely with our customers and design team to be sure every project meets Gang Nail standards and ready to be delivered to our customer when they need it.
Brad Foreman
Production Manager
Brad manages the daily operations of our production facility and works very closely with our design team, quality control team and fellow leaders to be sure that our customers get their product built right and on time.  Brad and his production team continuously strive to find new and innovative ways of doing things.   Brad has worked with us the majority of his career and knows every aspect of our production facility.  Brad is quick to help out in any way he can, building at a table running a saw.  Brad is a pleasure to work with and is a key part of our positive company culture.   
Ryan Larson
Inventory Control Manager
Ryan manages all aspects of inventory and is an integral member of our leadership team.  Ryan has worked with us the majority of his career and knows every aspect of our facility.  As inventory control manager Ryan manages all our purchasing and deliveries working closely with our production manager to be sure be sure everything flows through our facility as smooth as possible.  Ryan is a key part of our scheduling process to design and build in the right order so that customers always get their trusses when they need them.  Ryan is quick to lend a helping hand by jumping into a truck for a delivery or almost anything else you can think of.  Ryan is a pleasure to work with and we appreciate all the time and effort he puts in.
Arjun Aryal
Design Engineer
Arjun is our primary on staff professional engineer, and works very closely with all our designers and customers on a daily basis. Arjun joined our team about 10 years ago and has been working in the truss industry for more than that.  Arjun has his degree in civil engineering/project management and has trained under Dennis Zilinski, Miles Dyck and Paul Gerwing. Arjun oversees our quality control program to be sure that our customers get the best quality product every time.  Arjun is very knowledgeable and well versed in the truss industry.  He is a pleasure to work with and we are happy to have him on our team.
